In the post war years, Falk
demonstrated his affinity for humanitarian and social work by freely
giving of his creative talents to visualize the goals of various relief
organizations. The 1945 poster "Fur das Alter", asking people to help the
elderly, conveys the loneliness and pain of old age by posture and use of
faded paper. This contrasted sharply with the bright colors commonly used in
advertising posters. Individual care organizations like Pro Infirmis would
not have gone forward without the visualization of their goals through Falk.
