Meaning “beautiful place,” Beaulieu is a Medieval city situated along the Dordogne river. Here, Duval gives us an early-morning glimpse of the Abbey of St. Pierre, the oldest building in the village, dating from 1095. It seems like the perfect place to get away from the world, and yet is quite easily accessible by way of rail.
